Imagine learning about Jesus for the first time. He is the sole mediator, the great high priest who surpasses Moses. He's the radiance of God's glory, greater than the angels, and he holds the universe together. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings. He is the greatest. What happens when you lose that allegiance to Jesus? You cannot renegotiate the terms of peace to have a relationship with him. We need to reaffirm Jesus as Lord and King, build accountability and a community and walk in the power of the Spirit. Jesus is waiting for honest surrender. True righteousness is justice in practice: following Jesus by seeking what is right, defending the vulnerable, and restoring dignity to those around us.
Put God first by crucifying the idols that steal your time, money and talent. Prioritise Jesus's kingdom, make spiritual effort, and give your best to grow.
Conflict begins in the heart. Jesus calls us to own our part, pursue peace, avoid gossip, show mercy and bless rather than avenge.
